Ann
Arbor Restaurant Week
The Babe Ruth of dining out experiences! Ann Arbor has
more than a hundred restaurants that satisfy the preferences of any palate!
From Ethiopian eats at The Blue Nile to Cuban inspired delicatessens at Frita
Batidos, culture and value remains core to the Tree Town spirit!
Ann Arbor Restaurant is a biannual event that spans a
whole week where a significant number of eateries offer special deals and
promotions for their prized dishes! This year, Ann Arbor restaurant week took
place on January 18, 2015. The summer version will take place on June 16th
– June 21st.
So how can you get the most “bang” for your buck? See the
suggestions below, for a fulfilling, yet savvy experience!

Suggestion
#1: Do your research!
Check the Restaurant Week website prior to going out. Usually,
restaurants will offer 2 entrees for $15 during lunch and 2 entrees for $28 for
dinner ( http://annarborrestaurantweek.com/).
The great part about the website is that you can preview
the unique deals that each restaurant is offering! An exhaustive list of
participating restaurants can be found along with these listings online!
Connor O’Neil’s, an Irish Pub on Main Street, has the
BEST deal. Their dinner deal includes an
appetizer sampler to share, two dinner entrees, and a dessert sampler to share!
And, if you’re of legal drinking age, you have the option of enjoying some
samples of craft beers!
I highly recommend heading to Connors! Good atmosphere
and great food.
That said, do your research, because there are a number
of restaurants that use this week for better relationship marketing! There are
great deals everywhere. Some offer the best, so you’ll come back…
Suggestion
#2: Try new things!
Step out of your comfort zone! Don’t be nervous to try
new things or new foods! The restaurants usually offer their most popular
courses in order to develop product differentiation and long-term customers. Now
that’s a total value proposition!
Some of the more expensive restaurants throw market
segmentation out the door, and dramatically reduce their costs for the budget
minded!
For me, I like to try new restaurants every single time
that I dine out. Variety is nearly
unlimited, so get out and experience some new things!
“Food is
essential, therefore, make it good.”
-Sam Truett Cathy, Founder of
Chick-Fil-A
